This month, the Government has *announced that in the first 17 months (to 31 August 2014) of its rollout, 32,268 properties have been purchased with the support of the Help to Buy scheme. The majority of these sales have been to first-time buyers, representing 84% of total sales.
The Government says the figures show the scheme is working as it is supposed to – and is helping more people up onto the property ladder.
