Essex Charity Gets Cash Injection From Local Housebuilder
07 Mar 2016

Essex-based charity SNAP (Special Needs And Parents) has received a welcome boost to its funds, thanks to Chelmsford housebuilder, Linden Homes.

To support the charity, Linden Homes has held fundraising events throughout the year which has helped raise over £3,000 for SNAP.

Linden Homes sold quality furniture from its show home in Chelmsford with all profits going straight to the charity. The team also held raffles at key events, including its very own Christmas party, creating another opportunity to raise extra money for such a worthy cause.

Furthermore twice each month, Linden Homes’ office in Chelmsford relaxed with a dress down day. Staff wore their casual gear and paid a small donation to do so.

SNAP helps Essex families with children and young people who have any special need and/or disability. The charity offers a wide range of amenities, including a support service for all family members, centre resources such as a multi-sensory room and the charity host a number of activities, training and events.

SNAP aims to inform, encourage and support parents, so that they can grow in strength and knowledge and become better equipped to give the best possible help to their children.

SNAP’s Manager and Founder, Hilary Needham MBE says Linden Homes’ donations are very much appreciated:

“We are extremely grateful to Linden Homes who have been one of our key supporters for many years now. Every day more and more families turn to SNAP and we rely increasingly on the generosity of the local community to ensure we can continue to offer the best possible service to those who need us.”
Trevor Dempsey, managing director at Linden Homes Eastern commented: “We are delighted to support such a great cause. SNAP provides much needed support to those that need it in the area and we are pleased to give something back to hopefully help the team as they head into 2016.”

This is the fourth year Linden Homes Eastern has supported SNAP as they recognise the amazing work the charity does for the local community.
