THE champagne corks are popping for the Longstanton newly-weds Sarah and Nick Burton, who have just celebrated a wedding and a move to a brand new home.
The couple, who recently tied the knot in Cambridge, are the latest residents to move to Linden Homes’ popular St Michael’s Chase development at Longstanton.
Sarah and Nick are first time buyers, and were looking for a brand new home on which to put their stamp.
A family member directed them to the development, and a series of first time buyer incentives offered by Linden Homes allowed them to go ahead with the purchase of their trendy three-bedroom townhouse.
Fresh from a honeymoon in the sun, Sarah said: “We are thrilled with the house and with Linden Homes paying the stamp duty, this allowed us to buy a more spacious property than we may have otherwise been able to.
“It has been a whirlwind few months for us, but fantastic to have so many friends and family involved in these two major events. We are now looking forward to turning our house into a home.”
Hairdresser at Cambridge’s Salon 46 Sarah (28) and landscaper Nick (26) both work in the centre of Cambridge – with Sarah using the popular guided bus way to commute to work.
She added: “It’s a fairly easy journey into Cambridge along the A14 – and I can get to work in around 20 minutes. It’s a great perk of living on the outskirts of the city centre.”
