Developer ditches Secret Santa to donate gifts to needy children
21 Dec 2016

House building staff at Linden Homes West Yorkshire have ditched the office Secret Santa in favour of donating gifts and toys to needy youngsters.

The generous team at the Wetherby office were once again delighted to support the KidsOut charity by taking part in this year’s KidsOut Giving Tree.

The Giving Tree allows companies all over the UK the chance to donate toys to children in refuge, and the staff at Linden Homes West Yorkshire selected a Giving Tree tag with the name of a refuge child from the Christmas tree and purchased a present for that child.

Ian Hessay, divisional managing director at Linden Homes West Yorkshire, said: “A huge thanks to everyone at the Wetherby office who so generously rose to the challenge of selecting a tag from the Giving Tree to help bring a smile to a face of a child who may not otherwise receive a gift this Christmas.”

KidsOut are a charity dedicated to providing disadvantaged children across the UK with exciting memories to cherish reminding them how to have fun and just be children, and provide hope for a better future. Each year more than 20,000 children flee domestic abuse to seek sanctuary in refuge, typically leaving home with only the clothes on their back.
