In celebration of the recent Tour de Yorkshire, the village of Morton on Swale has been marking the occasion in its own wheely inventive style!
The fun-loving North Yorkshire village community recently staged its own cycling-themed activities on the village green, with the help of local school children and Linden Homes West Yorkshire.
The house builder – which has the popular The Dales development in Morton on Swale – offered sponsorship towards the cost of new signage for the village, to help boost its profile on the Yorkshire map!
In addition, organisers of the Tour de Yorkshire fun day invited schools and groups to build their own scarecrow – which attracted huge support from around the village.
LHWY sales director Gina Holmes said: “Being at the heart of a community is really important to us as a developer, and we were delighted to support this venture as part of our on-going support of the village.”
