Christmas Jumper Wearers Help To Boost Coffers For Save The Children
18 Dec 2018

Flaunting their fabulous knits and silly sweaters – fundraisers from Linden Homes East Yorkshire have boosted coffers for Save the Children during the annual Christmas Jumper Day.

Staff from the head office in Doncaster made a fundraising fashion statement by making a £2 donation to wear their best winter woollies, with the final total still being totted up.

Linden Homes East Yorkshire sales director Steve Woomble said: “We had a fabulous selection of jumpers and everyone really got behind the idea to have fun and raise money for a great cause at the same time.”

The suggested £2 donation, according to Save the Children, will pay for a blanket and a hat to keep a child warm this winter.

A donation of £5 could pay for educational toys to help a child in the UK learn through playing; £100 could stock a library with 75 books and £500 could fund 36 teachers in London for a month.
