Beautiful Parkland Apartments At Northfields In Colchester

Linden Homes’ has just launched the latest phase of its ever popular Northfields site in Colchester – this time the new collection of homes is made up of beautiful one and two bedroom apartments.

The Parkland apartments, so named because many of them overlook the beautiful grounds nearby, have been designed so that all the first, second and third floor homes have their own balconies: The apartments on the corners of the building have circular balconies that curve around the side, offering some great views.

Many of the Parkland apartments come with allocated parking spaces and all of them are finished with fully fitted kitchens and bathrooms: The kitchens come with integrated appliances: a dishwasher, fridge/freezer, washer/dryer, oven, hob and extractor fan.

You can choose from a one bedroom or two bedroom apartment: The two bedroom homes have an entrance hall and an open plan kitchen, living room and dining area. Some have one bathroom while others are designed with a separate bathroom and an ensuite bathroom.

The Parkland apartments qualify for the Government’s Help to Buy scheme* which came into force on April 1st.

This is a Government backed equity scheme that enables buyers to purchase a new home with just 5% deposit and a 20% Government equity loan – a loan that can be repaid at any time within the first 25 years and it is interest free for five years.

Hayley Clark and Henry Jones used the scheme to buy a Linden Homes’ one bedroom apartment and say the scheme proved to be very straight forward:

“We assumed that we wouldn’t be able to afford our own home yet - and everyone knows how difficult it can be to find that first deposit. But the Help to Buy scheme meant that it was possible for us. “My advice to someone in the same position is ‘Go for it’: It’s very simple: There aren’t lots of forms to fill in and it was genuinely hassle free, which is what you want when you are buying a home.”
