Basingstoke Construction Workers Receive Hard-hitting Safety Warnings For Road Safety Week

Construction workers at Linden Homes' Longacre site, off Winchester Road in Basingstoke, have been given some expert guidance on how to keep safe on site this Road Safety Week, courtesy of pupils from Castle Hill Infant School.

Children from Early Years Class 1 designed their own site safety posters for the development, following on from the Linden Homes team visiting the school back in the summer. Of the 30 posters entered, four lucky pupils saw their designs transformed into real site safety signs in time for Road Safety week, with the signs set to be installed on the development to keep workers safe at work.

Road Safety Week is a national initiative coordinated by Brake which seeks to inspire schools, organisations and communities to keep safe on the roads and promote life-saving messages throughout the awareness week and beyond. Linden Homes was thrilled to work with Castle Hill Infant School to promote road safety in and around its Longacre development.

Lola Moriarty (5), Maggie Allison (5), Libby Todd (5) and Mia Diprose (6) were invited to join the construction team at Longacre to see their final designs as they were installed on to the site. The signs are set to be installed around the development where construction is still underway on the two, three and four-bedroom homes on offer.

The ongoing partnership with Castle Hill Infant School comes as part of Linden Homes Thames Valley's commitment to enriching and enhancing the communities within which it is building.
