A Successful Launch At Home @ Heartlands

Over 150 people clambered to view Linden Homes’ striking new show home at its Home @ Heartlands development in Redruth during the launch weekend.

Carole Mitchell, sales executive for Linden Homes said: “We’re thrilled that the launch has been so successful, we had received a number of enquiries in advance so we did expect it to be busy but we didn’t expect the queues that we saw. Five homes have been reserved already and everyone is very interested to learn how energy efficient the homes are.

“At Home @ Heartlands, the properties are being built to Code for Sustainable Homes level 4, which is much higher than average. This means the homes are more energy efficient and eco friendly which will have a positive impact on your energy bills and carbon footprint.”

The homes will be built with increased levels of insulation and triple glazed windows to ensure heat loss is kept to a minimum. Each home will also be fitted with a high efficiency boiler with pre-heater water supply, photovoltaic panels, plus smart metering and energy display devices so you can keep track of how much energy you’re using. Energy efficient lighting and glazing will improve natural day-light and there is also a natural rainwater collection for garden use.

Designed to reflect the local Cornish heritage and architecture in the county’s historic mining centre, the development will feature a range of one and two bedroom apartments, plus two three and four bedroom homes for sale.

Help to Buy is a Government backed scheme available to existing homeowners and first time buyers. It enables you to purchase a new home for up to £600,000, with just 5% deposit and a 20% Government equity loan – a loan that is interest free for the first five years and can be repaid at any time within the first 25 years. A mortgage of just 75% is then required, which makes mortgage payments a lot more affordable.
