WITH the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee just a few weeks away, celebrations are in full swing in Cambridgeshire – with Linden Homes and local schools joining forces to mark the event.
Despite already having an impressive portfolio of new homes designs, the housebuilder has enlisted the help of pupils from the Over, Hatton Park and Swavesey primary schools to create something unique to add to its collection.
Imaginative youngsters are being invited to design a Royal des-res or a home fit for a Queen, in a fun competition to be judged by Linden Homes bosses.
The best entries in the Reception, Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 age groups will each receive a prize of a book token – and each participating school will be given an educational story sack from Linden Homes.
The company has recently launched a brand new development, perfect for families, at St Michael’s Chase in Longstanton, and says engaging with the local community is a priority.
Sales director Steve Garton said: “The response from the schools taking part has been really encouraging and we understand that the children are eager to let their imaginations run wild!
“We would like to thank the head teachers at the participating primary schools for their support and hope the experience allows the children to enjoy a different aspect of the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee celebrations. We very much look forward to looking at and judging the entries.”
