Our helpful home guides are full of useful tips and information for our existing customers.
Linden Homes is throwing a lifeline to house-hunters who face being priced out of the market by the trend of demands for bigger deposits.
The company’s innovative Step Up scheme is offering all its customers – not just its first-time buyers – 95 per cent mortgages with a market-leading rate to give them that vital lift onto or up the property ladder.
Among Linden Homes’ projects where Step Up has been successful is the developing Evolution Quarter, in the thriving market town of Orpington in south-east London, where a number of people have taken advantage of the product.
The rewards of Step Up are a faster move without the years of saving, as well as opening up a wider variety of destinations of where to set up home.
There are excellent shopping facilities and local golf courses, a leisure centre, cinema and great transport links to London and beyond, there will always be something for families to do.
The Step Up scheme is simple and effective, and a five per cent deposit can secure rates which can be lower even than those on offer to larger sums, and up to £450 in legal fees can also be paid.
The process starts by choosing from Linden Homes’ range of properties available under the scheme, and the buyer is put in touch with independent mortgage advisors New Homes Mortgage Helpline to go through the pre-qualification process and the application.
Subject to approval, a minimum five per cent deposit is put down plus a reservation fee of £1,000.
The scheme opens up not only the chance of a stunning home, but also the great benefits of desirable locations such as Evolution Quarter’s position just 16 minutes by train from London Bridge, and 20 to 35 minutes to Victoria, Waterloo and Charing Cross.
Access to the M25 is an easy three miles and for holidays and trips Gatwick is about 36 minutes away and Heathrow one hour and 10 minutes.
Closer to home is Orpington’s history, such as the Priory which dates back to the 13th century, and the local school which is named after it and recently secured its best ever GCSE results.
Linden Homes managing director Steve Bangs said: “We understand the problems families and individuals face in trying to find a place to live in these difficult economic times, so we are taking a lead and doing all we can to make it easier.
“The Step Up scheme not only helps our customers find a quality home with a fair deal that they can afford, it also gives a boost to the housing market and the economy of local communities where new developments bring new life, money and activity.
“It’s incredibly disheartening for people to see the home of their dreams put out of reach by such high demands for deposits, so we’re proud as a market leader to be showing the way and making a real difference.”
