Save Money By Buying A New Home At Copsewood In Wokingham
16 Nov 2017

Could buying a new build property in Wokingham save you money in the long run rather than upgrading your current home?

Research from the Home Builders Federation has revealed that the costs of upgrading an older property to the same standards, fittings and efficiencies of a brand-new home total over £50,000.

The homes at Linden Homes’ Copsewood development are testament to these findings – with the energy efficiencies that consumers have grown accustomed to in new build homes. Whilst only 26% of second hand homes achieve an A to C energy efficiency rating, 94% of those built after 2016 do reach these standards with the latest insulation and heating systems saving you up to a potential £500 a year compared with an older property.

Amie Emery, Sales and Marketing Director at Linden Homes Chiltern said: “Alongside the latest energy efficiencies, new homes are also virtually maintenance free with no need for repairs, refurbishments or extra DIY projects so they really do offer more bang for your buck. New roofs, kitchen/bathroom fit outs and boilers can cost thousands of pounds but with new properties you have peace of mind that costs like these won’t be required for many years to come.”

The recently launched ‘The Blackthorn’ show home is a brand new four-bedroom property arranged across three floors providing spacious living for all the family or plenty of space for your guests. On the ground floor a spacious living room with bay window opens on to the rear garden. While the first and second floors offer four good sized bedrooms and two bathrooms, this high-quality show home is testament to the high quality homes at Copsewood.

Amie continued: “The physical and aesthetic benefits of buying a new home go without saying – it is the perfect blank canvas for those looking for their next move and put their stamp on their new family home.

“We have received a lot of interest in these properties following our recent launch. The feedback about our Acer show home has been really positive, with many viewers appreciating the space available over the three floors for a growing and busy family lifestyle. We look forward to welcoming further interested buyers to have a look around to view the homes still available.”

Linden Homes Chiltern offers prospective house hunters with incentives to help them land their dream home at the development. Many of the homes at Copsewood are available for the Help to Buy equity loan scheme which allows buyers to purchase new-builds worth up to £600,000, using a deposit of just 5 per cent with the Government loaning up to another 20 per cent interest-free for five years.

Copsewood offers the best of both worlds within a picturesque setting, yet is brilliantly connected by road and rail. Nearby Wokingham Rail Station offers regular services into London Waterloo in just over an hour. By road, Junction 10 of the M4 is within easy reach, offering access to the M3, M25, Reading, Heathrow Airport and London.

Due to high demand a small selection of 1 & 2 bedroom apartments have also just been released.
