House Building Staff Pump Cash Into Industry's Have A Heart Appeal
27 Feb 2017

For some it means chocolate and flowers, for staff at Linden Homes East Yorkshire Valentines Day was about sweets and donning their best red outfit.

As part of a nationwide fundraising stunt to raise money for CRASH – the construction industry’s charity – sweet-toothed staff from the house builder’s Hessle head office had to guess the number of sweets in the jar in return for a £2 donation.

The jar of tempting goodies was picked up, examined, shook and scrutinised by all those who took part, but the eventual winner was sales administrator Megan Marshall who correctly guessed 258 sweets.

A total of £108 was raised for the Have A Heart Appeal, which will go towards making a change to many peoples’ lives around the region and the rest of the country.
