While new research suggests that moving home costs have risen over the past year due to a boom in the property market – Linden Homes is bringing some Christmas cheer to North Yorkshire customers.
The Yorkshire-based housebuilder (part of Vistry Group) has extended its stamp duty holiday at the popular Tara Fields development at East Ayton, close to the coastal resort of Scarborough.
Customers reserving before Christmas will have their Stamp Duty paid, which could see a saving of up to almost £15,000 on a dream home - in a move that will beat the winter blues as well as unlock additional festive finances for many families.
A selection of four-bedroom detached family homes in a number of styles is currently available at Tara Fields, for completion between December 2021 and spring 2022.
Located just four miles from Scarborough, the development offers the best of both worlds; a village setting close to the coast and the stunning North Yorkshire Moors, while enjoying easy commuter access via the A170 and A64.
As well as celebrating Christmas in a new home; offering extra space for guests, a brand-new kitchen in which to cook your festive food and a blank canvas to hang your decorations; the Stamp Duty offer means more savings to see you into 2022.
A recent study^* revealed that Brits are now spending £748 each time they move house on top of agency fees, legal fees and stamp duty.
And the five most common additional costs incurred by Brits when moving home are buying new furniture (55 per cent), purchasing new household items such as bedding and kitchen utensils (53 per cent), paying for post to be re-directed (42 per cent), and changing bill providers (36 per cent). Nearly a quarter (24 per cent) have paid for a man in a van to help them move.
