Generous staff at Linden Homes East Yorkshire are supporting a regional service aimed at offering help to rough sleepers during the Christmas and New Year season.
The Outreach Homeless of Doncaster team consists of specialist workers who provide one-to-one support for rough sleepers across Yorkshire, with the aim of helping them to take the first steps towards finding a home, along with offering emotional support and practical advice.
The organisation has been chosen by the regional developer – which has its head office in Doncaster – to benefit from a company-wide Christmas appeal.
Staff have been donating Christmas bags for men and woman, with contents including basic but essential toiletries.
Mark Connors, Linden Homes East Yorkshire regional manager director, said: “As a business which is now setting its new roots in Doncaster, as well as enjoying a long association with Yorkshire generally, we have been delighted to support this worthy cause which does so much to help vulnerable people in our local community.
“My personal thanks to each and every member of staff who have taken this to their hearts and supported our Christmas appeal. We know that the essentials will be welcome by those benefitting from the Outreach Services team’s efforts to provide rough sleepers with a hot shower and comfort during the Christmas season.”
Similar appeals for other good causes are being run and supported by other housebuilders within the Galliford Try umbrella across the country.
