Only four homes remain at Linden Homes’ Howden Green development in Howden-le-Wear and with a new show home launched, house hunters are being urged to visit to avoid disappointment.
The Wear is a detached home with four bedrooms, offering impressive views across the beautiful County Durham countryside. To mark the show home opening a special homebuyer event is being staged on Saturday 29th June, where advice will be available on all the purchase options – including the recently introduced Help to Buy scheme.
Qualifying purchasers only need a 5% deposit to take advantage of a 20% government-backed equity loan that is interest free for the first five years and can be repaid at any time within 25 years. This loan is effectively a second mortgage, so buyers provide the 5% deposit, secure a 75% mortgage and the remaining 20% of the purchase price is met through the Help to Buy scheme.
The show home has been decorated to reflect The Wear’s flexibility and space. The stylishly appointed kitchen offers space for a breakfast area, but the pièce de résistance is the countryside view through the French doors, which lead to a raised decking area and south facing garden.
Completing downstairs is a living room, separate dining room and single garage, with internal door to the entrance hall. Upstairs there are four bedrooms, with private en-suite and fitted wardrobes to the master, which also has countryside views.
The Wear offers exceptional value for money. The other remaining house type at Howden Green is The Greta, a three storey, three bedroom mews-style home.
