A new sales and marketing director has joined Linden Homes Thames Valley, attracted by its sure-footed growth and ambitious targets for the region.
Steve Garton comes on board as the company is already delivering eight sites comprising hundreds of quality new homes since its launch in May 2012 – with plans in the pipeline for many more.
Steve brings to the role 12 years of industry experience which includes stints as sales and marketing director at Barratt Homes and Miller Homes.
It’s also something of a return to Linden Homes for Steve who understands the company’s ethos of quality and customer service from his time with Linden Homes Midlands, also as sales and marketing director.
Steve’s role will include overseeing the branding and customer experience at all existing and future housing developments from Linden Homes Thames Valley. He will also be tasked with continuing to build the Linden Homes brand in the communities it works in, throughout Oxford and into the Cotswolds.
Flagship developments for Linden Homes Thames Valley are Victory Fields in Upper Rissington, in the heart of the Cotswolds, and Exemplar Park in Aylesbury, plus exclusive collections such as Barrington Grove in Shrivenham, and Royal Chase near Newbury.
Steve said: “It’s brilliant to be back at Linden Homes and surrounded again by the belief that building quality homes makes sustainable communities and neighbourhoods where people want to live.
“It’s particularly exciting to be joining Thames Valley at a time when it is gathering momentum in the region and delivering impressively on the promise of its launch.
“My aim is to grow the business and more specifically drive the Help to Buy scheme in our region, which currently accounts for 30 per cent of our market. The aspiration here is to drive this up to 50 per cent of the deals we have across the region, as customers now understand the benefits and why buying new can get them moving at a cost they can afford.”
Steve will be based in the Abingdon office and will report into Linden Homes Thames Valley managing director, Peter Carpinelli.

Steve, who is 48, currently lives in Hertfordshire with his wife and 2 children but is moving to Oxfordshire to take advantage of the beautiful countryside and excellent schools that the county has to offer.
