SHOW HOMES are often a talking point for potential buyers – but rarely of interest to those below a certain age who accompany mum and dad on a visit.
However, a purr-fect addition to the Linden Homes trendy show home in Rutland has become a real focus with a new generation of home hunters.
What has become affectionately known as the ‘Hello Kitty’ room pays homage to the popular feline character.
The trade character set against a backdrop of pink and white is main feature of one of the bedrooms in the Orchid development’s Polebrook show home in the popular market town of Oakham.
Linden Homes sales executive Eileen Irwin said: “Everyone who takes a look around the show home comments on what has become known as the ‘Hello Kitty’ room! It certainly provides a talking point among our more discerning younger visitors.”
Themed rooms are becoming increasingly popular – with another impressive offering at Linden Homes’ Bluebell development at Bingham. Dedicated to children’s author Roald Dahl, the room boasts hand drawn images from the popular tale James and the Giant Peach.
