New Look, New Four Bedroom Homes At Cholsey Meadow
23 Oct 2013

Linden Homes has released the first of its four bedroom homes in the current phase at the popular and beautiful Cholsey Meadows in the south Oxfordshire village of Cholsey.

And two new show homes are now available for viewing – to give you an idea of how the space has been arranged.

In fact, Linden Homes listened carefully to the customers who said they would like more living space in the four bedroom homes.

The show homes demonstrate how this request has been translated into reality: The living space has been carefully and thoughtfully rearranged. Downstairs there is a kitchen/dining/living room, as in the previous layout, but there is now a second living room, with a balcony, on the first floor – a family room perhaps, or a family study.

This layout has already received a lot of good feedback from customers and the show homes have been arranged to demonstrate the new design.

Help to Buy is a Government led scheme and is available to first time buyers and those already on the property ladder. It is an equity scheme that enables buyers to purchase a new home with just 5% deposit and a 20% Government equity loan – a loan that can be repaid at any time within the first 25 years. An equity loan is effectively a second mortgage in the form of a lump sum.

So, you provide the 5% deposit, your mortgage company lends you 75% of the value of the house, leaving 20%, which is the portion that the Government will lend to you - interest free - for five years.

Alternatively, it may be that you are very interested in the new four bedroom Cholsey Meadows homes, but are unable or unenthusiastic about selling your present home. This is where the Linden Homes’ Part Exchange Scheme* comes into the picture. The scheme effectively takes the pressure off selling your existing property. Linden Homes’ becomes your buyer and will market and sell it, deal with the estate agents and pay their fees, freeing you up to get on with buying your new Linden Home.

Simon Pendlebury is the sales and marketing director at Linden Homes and says that at Cholsey Meadows the two schemes have helped lots of Linden Homes’ customers buy their new home:

“Help to Buy has proved very helpful. Many of our customers have taken advantage of this new scheme. It has meant that, in some cases, and for the first time people have been able to afford the deposit for their new home. It has opened up all sorts of possibilities for them. It’s not just for first time buyers either – it is for anyone who wants to buy a new home up to the value of £600,000.

“And Part Exchange has not only proved popular – it has been a saving grace for many of our customers who were struggling to sell their old home. The strain and practicalities of selling was stalling their hopes of moving. Our Part Exchange Scheme effectively lifts those barriers and allows customers to move ahead with their plans to buy a new Linden Home.”
