Linden Homes was delighted to welcome the Right Worshipful the Mayor of the City and District of St Albans Annie Brewster, when she arrived at their Mosaic development on Thursday 10th October to open a new city cycle path.
The path, built by Linden Homes, provides a new route for all members of the public so they can travel through this part of the historic city safely. The new path links Linden Homes’ Mosaic apartments with the station and the Alban way.
The path, which involved a complex build, took three months to complete and is already proving popular with Mosaic residents and members of the public alike.
The Mayor, Councillor Annie Brewster declared the new pathway officially open: “I was thrilled to visit the impressive newly completed Mosaic development. The work that has gone into the cycle path providing a new link from the Alban Way to St Albans City Railway Station is amazing. The successful new cycle route shows what can be achieved via joint working. I am very pleased to see that Linden Homes has implemented such a beneficial scheme to the wider community as well as the new residents of Mosaic.”
Darren Maddox, managing director of Linden Homes said: “It’s so important when we’re building a new development like Mosaic that we consider links to the wider community both for new and existing residents. The cycle path has enabled us to link to the existing cycle path and provide a new link to the town. ”
Opus, Linden Homes’ fifth and final phase of the Mosaic development consists of a collection of elegant one and two bedroom apartments and two unusual penthouse homes. The beautiful rounded building with its gently staggered profile cleverly maximises the outside space available so that every one of the apartments has up to three private terraces or balconies.
