Music students from Truro College recently impressed audiences when they performed at an event at Linden Homes’ prestigious Royal Barham House development in Truro.
The four members of the Jack Williams Quartet are studying for a degree in jazz music at Truro College. Vivian Rodd, head of jazz studies at Truro College said: “Our musicians are extremely talented and play to a very high standard; it’s fantastic for them to be able to practice performing to live audiences.”
Guests at the event could view the completed homes and enjoy some refreshments while listening to a number of tunes.
Jules Miller-Wilson, sales and marketing manager for Linden Homes said: “Royal Barham House is such a beautiful building and it has a wonderful, rich heritage.
“We’re hosting a series of events, not just for new residents at Royal Barham House, so they can start to get to know their neighbours but also for the local community. We want to show visitors the homes that are available and demonstrate that Truro is a fantastic place to live.
“Our next event will be wine tasting on Thursday 18th July, so we’re encouraging anyone interested to contact us as soon as possible to book their free place.”
Linden Homes and Westco Properties are transforming the old infirmary hospital, which was derelict, into 19 luxury two and three bedroom apartments.
Located to the south of the city centre on the west side of Infirmary Hill, Cornwall’s first hospital was originally constructed in the late 1790s and served the community for over 200 years, before it finally closed in 1999.
The development has been well received, with a third of the homes already reserved. The homes have been built to a high specification and some have magnificent views out towards Truro cathedral.
