Linden Homes' Prestigious Development Scoops A Top Design Award
27 Nov 2012

INNOVATIVE Linden Homes has added to its portfolio of recent accolades – scooping an environmental and design award that honours the best buildings in Peterborough!

The developer took the top spot in the Peterborough Development and Environment Award’s Design Category of Best Residential – Multiple Dwellings – for its prestigious new homes scheme on the outskirts of the city.

Judges praised the company, which has its head office in Orton Southgate, Peterborough, for its Drover’s Mead development in the village of Castor.

The judging panel concluded that ‘special care has been taken in the design to pick out key features of the historic heart of Castor in terms of layout, materials and detailing. A courtyard area has been designed to create an inclusive development of smaller homes creating a distinctive coherent environment.’

Linden Homes’ technical director Barry Maynard said: “We are thrilled to have won this award and are delighted that the judges have recognised the tremendous amount of care and consideration that went in to designing these fabulous family homes at Castor.”

This marks a double celebration for Linden Homes, which has recently been voted the UK’s Best Large House Builder at the industry’s prestigious What House? awards.

The Peterborough Development and Environment Awards, now in their second year, celebrate design and development excellence over several project categories.
