Linden Homes' Plan Approved For More New Houses In Bedford
07 May 2015

Developer Linden Homes Midlands has announced proposals for over 100 new homes at Great Denham in Bedford, after gaining local authority planning permission for the scheme.

The location of the 111 home development in Westford Village will include a selection of one and two bedroom apartments and two, three and four-bedroom homes.

The award-winning company will be showcasing a number of designs suitable for a range of home hunters; including first time buyers, young professionals and families.

And with the village served by excellent road links to Bedford, which is just four miles away, the new Portfolio development is a perfect commutable location.

For journeys further afield, Bedford railway station is also close by.

Prices and a build programme timetable have yet to finalised, but potential buyers can register their interest now.

And already building on its existing successful Bedfordshire developments in Dunton and Sandy, Linden Homes has recently announced another new local site – in Dunstable.

Planning permission has been granted for 109 new homes off College Drive, close to the Central Bedfordshire College and access to the Busway.

The development – to be called Kaleidoscope – offers easy access to Luton, Milton Keynes and Bedford.

A collection of one and two-bedroom apartments, two-bedroom coach houses and three and four-bedroom homes will make up the development, which will be built in a range of modern terraced townhouse and traditional semi-detached styles.

Although the Dunstable development won’t be launched until late summer / early autumn 2015, there is a chance for potential homebuyers to beat the rush and register their interest now and reap the benefits of reserving from the drawing board.

Contemporary kitchens and bathrooms, energy efficiency fittings and a 10-year National House Building Council (NHBC) protection are among the many advantages, as well as:

  • Selecting a plot with a sought-after south facing garden
  • Choosing their preferred taste in bathroom wall tiles
  • Choosing their preferred kitchen units and worktops
  • Having a blank canvas from which to plan their new home
  • Lower utility bills and reduced maintenance bills that new homes can offer
  • New materials used in the construction process also mean that new homes are more energy efficient than their older counterparts
