Linden Homes North Saddles Up For Tour De France Route In York
07 Jul 2014

With Tour De France fever gripping the region – developer Linden Homes North has played its own part in the famous sporting institution and raising the profile of Yorkshire!

As part of the race’s route through Yorkshire on Sunday 6 July, the cyclists passed the Linden Homes’ Greenacre Paddock development on Boroughbridge Road in York.

The on site team spent the days leading up to the event setting up signs – offering good wishes to the cyclists - at the village development, where the eight luxury homes have been sold off plan.

As well as sending good luck wishes to those taking part, it provided the ideal opportunity to put Yorkshire in the spotlight.

Linden Homes construction manager Kevin Hoyland said: “We were all very excited to be playing a small part in such a major event and coup for the region. The event itself was amazing and will continue to attract interest over the coming weeks. We were delighted we had the chance to support the race and also to see how Yorkshire was put in the spotlight as a fantastic place for home hunters to put down their roots.”

No stranger to high profile or large sporting events is Linden Homes North parent company Galliford Try. The construction arm of the business has played a leading role in the Centre Court roof project at Wimbledon, work on the 2012 Olympic village and the new Forth Road Bridge in Scotland.
