Linden Homes' Lisa Gets Ready To Toughen Up For Muddy Charity Challenge
23 Jun 2015

A far cry from her day job as PA to the managing director of major house builder Linden Homes North, Lisa Riley is preparing to test her physical strength and mental grit during a gruelling 12-mile muddy mission.

Lisa, who works for the Hessle-based developer, will be facing her obstacle fears when she takes on the Yorkshire Tough Mudder challenge in Skipton this summer.

Lisa will be among hundreds of people taking part in the event on August 1, tackling a 20km course not for the faint-hearted – running over rough, rolling fields, through daringly dense woodlands and into streams, bogs and pools of thick, heavy mud and clay.

Animal-lover and pet owner to pooches Bailey and Will.I.Am, Lisa – whose training was recently halted through a hand injury – will be using the challenge to raise money for the Blue Cross charity, which rehomes unwanted cats, dogs, horses and small pets around the UK.

She said: “I am very passionate about this charity, being a pet owner myself, and although the Tough Mudder is going to be a hard and challenging course, my mind will be on the fact that I’m raising money for an excellent charity.”
