Top five housebuilder Linden Homes has recruited a new Strategic Land and Planning Manager to help the company deliver more high quality properties for house-hunters in the Midlands and east of England.
John Deakin (49) comes from David Wilson Homes and brings 25 years’ experience in the property industry developed primarily through a town planning career in housebuilding, consultancy and local government.
A Chartered Town Planner, he’s already familiar with Linden Homes’ award-winning philosophy of quality and character having previously worked with the company from 2004-2007.
John is mainly based in Linden Homes Midlands’ Peterborough office and will focus on securing new sites in the operating areas of the company’s Midlands and Eastern offices.
John knows the area well as he was born and grew up in the Midlands. He is married with two grown-up daughters.
John said: “I’m very happy to return to Linden Homes because the company has such a good track record in delivering strategic land around the country, which I want to help grow even further.
“I want to add more sites that blend successfully with existing neighbourhoods, creating good linkages and a variety of new homes, in places where residents will enjoy living. It’s about building communities and sustaining local services and facilities.”
