Linden Homes Celebrates Progress At New Brunswick
12 Jan 2015

As 2015 begins, Linden Homes, part of Linden Homes Group, is celebrating progress at its New Brunswick development on the outskirts of Manchester.

North West regional sales manager, Sian Pitt was joined by executive member for housing and regeneration, Cllr Jeff Smith and Ward Councillors, Cllr Bernard Priest and Cllr Tina Hewitson (pictured) to celebrate the progress on site as the new homes build programme continues at a pace.

45 new homes are currently under construction on site. These homes are being marketed to local residents in the first instance before becoming available on the open market. Linden Homes has also started to build the first of 200 social homes at New Brunswick, which will be managed by Contour Homes.

Brendan Blythe, regional director for Linden Homes, said: “We are making excellent progress at New Brunswick. We will ultimately deliver 314 new homes for sale and 200 social homes at the scheme, this will be carried out in phases over the next six years. We have had lots of interest from local residents so we are very optimistic about New Brunswick, which is our first North West site in 10 years. We look forward to continuing to expand in the region, building on the success of this scheme.”

Cllr Jeff Smith said: “Brunswick is becoming a true neighbourhood of choice. Local people have seen some great achievements this year, but as work continues they will see a further transformation of their area. We're seeing new homes with a variety of tenure options, which will appeal to a wide range of people - and this will only help strengthen the community in to the future.”

Councillor Bernard Priest said "People of Brunswick have waited for this development for many years and it is good to see the new homes being built to such a good standard."

All of the two, three and four bedroom homes have been cleverly space planned to include separate kitchen and living areas with good sized bedrooms. Ideal for professional couples or growing families, the new homes at New Brunswick are causing a stir amongst local residents who are keen to reserve their properties now.

New Brunswick forms part of the wider £100m regeneration programme for Brunswick, which is transforming the area in East Manchester.

The programme combines the construction of high quality new homes with the refurbishment of existing council homes, new sheltered accommodation and a retail area which will provide shops and amenities, as well as a new neighbourhood office. The scheme will also deliver improved road layouts and enhanced open spaces.
