Linden Homes West Yorkshire has appointed Katie Miller as its new Land Manager as part of the developer’s commitment to housing growth in the region.
With some 10 years’ experience in the land buying industry, Katie takes up the position at the house builder’s Wetherby office.
Katie’s role includes sourcing land, conducting land appraisals, negotiating land deals and implementing her knowledge of planning and associated legal matters in order to secure land for the business going forward.
Katie joins the team – headed up by Land Director Andy Byrne – at a time when LHWY has launched a number of new developments in the North and West of Yorkshire, and is actively seeking more opportunities.
She said: “I have worked in land buying roles covering the whole of Yorkshire and am delighted to be joining Linden Homes West Yorkshire’s growing and expanding region. I very much enjoy the pace and variety of land buying, and being a people person, I like the contact with landowners, agents and the public. I also like the satisfaction of providing new homes in a time when they are very much in need.”
Katie and the land team are looking for land opportunities, particularly in North and West Yorkshire, which would be suitable for the building of a minimum of 50 new home plots with no upper size limit.
“The land can be bought with or without planning permission attached,” said Katie “and we would welcome any genuine enquiries from landowners or land agents interested in talking to us about the potential to develop their land for housing.”
Recent land acquisitions have included sites in Tockwith, Kirk Hammerton, Green Hammerton and Killinghall.
