And to celebrate the quintessentially English sporting season, developer Linden Homes is supporting budding Murrays, Nadals and Robsons – thanks to its three-season sponsorship deal with Sutton Upon Derwent Tennis Club.
The initiative is Linden Homes’ latest community connection in East Riding, further raising its profile as one of the leading new homes developers in and around York.
The club is a non-profit organisation and boasts seven ladies, mens and mixed teams playing throughout York and District leagues, which is the biggest tennis league in the UK.
With over 100 members, the club is one of the most well supported village tennis clubs in East Riding, and the players will now be sporting Linden Homes branded clothing as the company takes on the role of main sponsor.
Linden Homes North sales director Steve Woomble said: “We are delighted to be the key sponsor for this very well supported tennis club, and recognise the huge value it offers to people in the community and surrounding area.
“With Wimbledon in full swing, what better time to raise the profile of the sport and congratulate all of those who currently play in the league.”
