Head of quality assurance Bobby, and advertising specialist Megha began their search for a new home not long after tying the knot – looking to buy a ‘forever home’ in which to raise a family.
Their journey took them to Biddenham in Bedfordshire, offering the best of both worlds – excellent amenities in a family-friendly location, yet just an hour’s commute to their respective workplaces in London.
The couple used the popular Help to Buy Scheme, where buyers need just a five per cent deposit, to move from their three-bedroom semi-detached home in Stanmore to the impressive, spacious five-bedroom Attingham design at the St Mary’s development in Biddenham.
Bobby said: “It took us one visit to the team at the office to make our mind up, and within a few hours we had arrived at our decision to reserve! As first time buyers, we were able to use the Help to Buy scheme, which allowed us to extend our budget but still keep it affordable.”
Two became three around five months ago, when proud parents Bobby and Megha welcomed new arrival Kai into the world – and their new home.
Megha added: “We love the layout of our home, this was key in our decision, especially with a new addition to the family! We love the idea of having a downstairs study that can double up as a downstairs playroom for him.
“We spend most of our time in the kitchen and with ample space it allows us to entertain to our heart’s content. The location is perfect as we both work in London and the station is not far away. Also, we have a great selection of supermarkets less than 10 minutes way.
“This is a perfect location in which to bring up Kai, who keeps us entertained with his huge, gorgeous smile and cheeky infectious laugh. In general, we love Biddenham as it offers a great mix of old and new, with plenty of green space. At the time we decided to purchase we new we needed to be in an area that was family oriented with a good selection of state and private schools. We have that here.”
