Flaunting their fabulous knits and silly sweaters – fundraisers from Linden Homes Midlands have boosted coffers for Save the Children during the charity’s annual Christmas Jumper Day.
Staff from the head office in Peterborough and at developments across region made a fundraising fashion statement by making a £2 donation to wear their best winter woollies, with proceeds from the day still being totted up.
Sales and marketing director Vanessa MacNee said: “We had a fabulous selection of jumpers and everyone really got behind the idea to have fun and raise money for a great cause at the same time.”
The suggested £2 donation, according to Save the Children, will pay for a blanket and a hat to keep a child warm this winter.
The charity changes the lives of children across the world and gives support in crisis; in terms of health, education and providing aid to areas hit by natural disasters.
