The A38 is just a 30-minute drive from Torquay and gives easy access to the city of Plymouth, just 30 miles South West, and Exeter just over 20 miles North East.
Torquay also benefits from an excellent railway service, with easy links to major cities such as Plymouth (just over 1 hour), Bristol (under 2 hours), London Paddington (approximately 3 hours) and Birmingham (three and a half hours). National Express coaches also offer good value tickets from various cities such as Plymouth and London too.
For flights, Exeter International Airport is situated just over 26 miles away. Bristol airport is just over 90 mins in the car via the M5, and London Heathrow Airport is located just over 3 hours away from Torquay, providing regular international flights.
Locally, there are plenty of options for navigating around including taxis, regular buses and even ferries between Torquay, Paignton, and Brixham.
