Linden Homes' Village Development Helps Dave Manage A Work And Life Balance
14 Apr 2014

AFTER spending the past four years in rented accommodation, company sales director Dave Button is now enjoying life in a spacious, brand new home – enjoying the best of both worlds.

With the village of Warmington his home since 2011, Dave (47) decided to opt for a four-bedroom new build at the popular Linden Homes Aspire development.

Perfectly positioned between Peterborough and Oundle, with easy access to the A1 and close to the city’s railway station, Dave is able to enjoy the best of both worlds – living in the country whilst working in the city.

And while he spends much of his time working at his company’s HQ in Dartford, his newfound space always allows the flexibility to work from home.

Dave said: “I wanted to buy a home after renting for four years, but didn’t necessarily intend to buy new. However, I really liked what Linden Homes were building in the village and what the company was able to offer me incentive wise.

“I liked the design of the development and the attention to detail, and sales executive Eileen Irwin was extremely helpful.”

With Eileen’s guidance, Dave was able to buy his new home through the popular Help to Buy scheme – where buyers require just a five per cent deposit.

Dave added: “Help to Buy has worked so well for me - I have put down a sizeable deposit but the additional support from Help to Buy also enabled me to retain some of my savings to invest in my new home.

“I felt the whole process worked so well. I am generally so busy, so its great being able to co-ordinate all aspects of the process through one helpful team.”

And what’s more – Dave is already seeing the early signs of savings on his utility bills, which go hand in hand with an energy smart new home, saying he has seen a major difference compared to his previous property.

Happy to recommend friends and family to Linden Homes Midlands, Dave added: “I love the design of my new home – the kitchen is a great entertaining space, and all the bedrooms are all a good size - I never feel cramped.

“Warmington also works for me - I love been in the country but also close to decent amenities. I cycle regularly and the area is excellent for that. Furthermore and whilst my HQ is Dartford, I operate nationally and therefore road and transport links are very good from here.”

Aspire’s impressive portfolio of new two, three, four and five-bedroom homes include something for everyone.

The location enjoys easy road access to Oundle and commuting centres like Peterborough and Northampton.

Help to Buy is available at the development - here’s how it works:

  • The government will lend you up to 20 per cent of the value of your property through an equity loan, which can be repaid at any time or on the sale of your home.
  • The Help to Buy (1) scheme is available on new build homes only, worth up to £600,000.
  • Customers need only a minimum five per cent deposit.
  • You don’t have to be a first time buyer to be eligible.
  • Buyers only need to secure up to a 75 per cent mortgage from a bank or building society.

The sales and marketing suite and show home are open from Thursday to Monday from 10.30am until 5pm. Alternatively, contact the sales team on 01832 281539.
