Not many couples can claim to fall in love at first sight with a new build property, then go on to purchase it while their old home is sold within two weeks without having to do a thing.
However, this was the case for Mr Leo Liu, an education consultant for consultancy company UKEC and his wife Mrs Na Pan, when they decided to purchase a brand new home at Linden Homes North West’s New Brunswick development under the ‘Assisted Move’ scheme.
The couple, who have lived in the UK for 12 years fell in love with the development and decided to purchase a four bedroom home off plan following a visit to the New Brunswick marketing suite. The couple were really impressed with the quality of the development and also its close proximity to Manchester City centre.
Mr Liu explained: “From the initial enquiry session and visit to the Linden Homes office we felt that we were in good hands. It was quite a daunting process for us as this is the first time we had decided to buy a new build that was not complete at the time of purchase but the team were extremely helpful from the outset. They were there for us from the very beginning, informing us about the Assisted Move scheme, right through to completion of the sale and after we moved in.”
“From the moment we signed up to the scheme we didn’t have to worry about a thing. It can often be a long and stressful process but Linden Homes North West made it completely hassle free. They organised everything from the estate agent’s photographs and marketing materials to putting the house on the market and after only two weeks our existing house was sold. I didn’t even have worry about finding interim accommodation as the company ensured the completion of the sale coincided with the purchase of our new house.”
Mr Liu chose the spacious four bedroom Bollin design for his new home, which is set over three floors. The property features a modern kitchen/living/dining area with double doors onto the garden, while the master bedroom benefits from a stylish, high spec en-suite bathroom.
“The quality, layout and practicality of the build and finish of the homes is much better than we had seen with other developers and I jumped for joy when I moved in. I love how Linden Homes has divided and used the space. All four bedrooms are equal in size, avoiding awkward sized smaller rooms which you see in a lot of new developments on the market. They even thought about the little details such as storage underneath the stairs for items you would rather keep hidden but have to think about when moving”, continued Mr Liu.
“I am impressed that Linden Homes North West thought about the environmental aspect of the development too, incorporating a number of energy saving and environmentally friendly features into the build. The house boasts solar panels which are continually generating electricity feeding back our daily use and the energy efficiency boiler with the central heating system, allowing us to save money on bills. However, for me the highlight is the use of modern technology, they have installed a central ventilation system which is great at getting rid of humidity and odour while allowing air to circulate better in every corner of the house.”
