AWARD-WINNING Linden Homes has announced regional land acquisitions totalling £56 million – marking a hugely positive start to its new financial year.
This follows record results for the Peterborough-based developer for 2012/2013, which saw a 35 per cent increase in sales on the previous 12 months.
Chris Roads, who took over the reins as sales director almost a year ago, puts the tremendous success down to a team effort (involving the land, technical, production and sales departments) as well as renewed customer confidence in the housing market.
According to the National New Homes Survey of homeowners carried out earlier this year, 91 per cent of respondents said they were satisfied or very satisfied with the overall quality of their home – and the same number would be happy to recommend a friend.
Chris said: “This survey does show that the industry continues to achieve very high levels of customer satisfaction, despite the tough market and trading conditions.
“We pride ourselves on customer satisfaction and our own recommend a friend referrals within the Midlands region just about match these national statistics.
“The steady economy and slightly reduced unemployment have also contributed to the overall sales success.
Chris added: “We are delighted to be going into our next financial year in such a strong position and despite a prediction that there may be a slight rise in prices nationally, early indications are that we continue to grow our sales significantly during the next 12 months.”
In the past two months alone, Linden Homes has launched a series of new and exciting developments across its operating areas; with three new sites in Peterborough and another in Milton Keynes.
And the customer satisfaction theory is evident at all these sites – where a number of the planned new homes have already been reserved from plan.
Chris is optimistic that the success will continue for Linden Homes, not least with the availability of a series of customer-focussed incentives – and no less than seven new developments coming on stream.
Locations in at Dunton and Sandy (Bedfordshire), Sapcote and Whetstone (Leicestershire), Huntingdon (Cambridgeshire) Stamford and Witham St Hughes (Lincolnshire) will provide around 500 new homes.
The sites have been carefully chosen to reflect current housing demands, local amenities and their proximity to road and rail networks.
