Hungry Househunters Raise Hundreds For Charity With Linden Homes

Househunters joined in the World’s Biggest Coffee Morning at a number of Linden Homes developments across the south to raise hundreds of pounds for Macmillan Cancer Support.

The award-winning housebuilder offered hot drinks and tasty cakes in exchange for donations on Friday September 25th at several of its popular developments in West Sussex and Surrey.

Joining Macmillan’s annual fundraising push this year were Linden Homes’ desirable West Sussex site at Graylingwell Park in Chichester and sought-after Riverside in Godalming, Surrey.

The efforts across the two counties, as well as by staff at Linden Homes’ head office in Guildford, raised £282.31, beating the total raised last year.

The money added to almost £400 raised on Saturday September 26th at Linden Homes’ Swallowhurst development in Cranleigh, Surrey, at the first ever Great Cranleigh Bake Off contest. Winners were awarded shopping vouchers, goody-filled hampers and baking kits.

Andrew Reynolds, sales and marketing director at Linden Homes South, said: “Every week we host so many of visitors to our developments, which made this a great opportunity to do some fundraising for such an important and valued cause.

“Macmillan does an amazing job and househunting can be a tiring business, so I think people were very happy to donate generously and enjoy their cuppa and a slice of cake at the same time.”
