A new play park for the local community has been opened at the Trenant Gardens development in Wadebridge.
Residents were invited to a ‘meet your neighbours’ event at the Linden Homes development which saw the play park officially opened at a ribbon cutting ceremony. Refreshments from The Old Tea House in Wadebridge were enjoyed, as well as Easter crafts and a complimentary Easter egg raffle.
The new park features wooden play equipment including a trim trail, swing, miniature seesaw and a climbing frame with a slide and rope ladder.
Area sales director, Pete Castley commented: “It’s a fantastic facility for the local community and it was wonderful to get everyone together to open the new park and outside space area. It certainly seemed to get the seal of approval from all the children and we loved seeing them have fun.
“When you move home it can be difficult to know the best time to meet your new neighbours. You intend to introduce yourself but then a couple of weeks pass while you’re busy unpacking and that moment seems to have gone. We wanted to help and thought this milestone was the perfect opportunity to get everyone together; it’s brilliant to see the community thrive.”
Trenant Gardens is a popular development of 93 new homes, comprising two, three and four bedroom new properties off Higher Trenant Road in Wadebridge. Due to demand, there is currently only one home available, a four bedroom detached house.
