The first homes at a new housing location in Telford have been released for sale to the public.
Vistry Group, which includes Bovis Homes, Linden Homes and Vistry Partnerships, is building 450 new homes at The Quarters @ Redhill.
The housebuilder is delivering the new homes as a dual development under its Bovis Homes and Linden Homes brands at the 76-acre site off the A5.
The Bovis Homes part of the development will comprise 144 new homes, including a selection of two, three, four and five-bedroom properties for sale.
These will be delivered alongside 148 Linden Homes properties, which will feature a mix of two, three and four-bedroom houses available to buy.
A further 158 homes at the development will be allocated as affordable housing for local people through rent or shared ownership.
Freya Halsall, marketing assistant at Vistry Mercia, said: “The demand for these new homes has been extremely strong ever since we announced our plans for the site. Eleven properties have already been reserved after being exclusively released to buyers who had registered their interest with us ahead of the public launch.
“We are now in the position to be able to release a number of new homes for sale to the wider public as work progresses at the site. The Quarters @ Redhill is a dual development featuring properties from both our Bovis Homes and Linden Homes brands, providing a wide selection of new homes to buyers.
“The dual development will deliver a variety of two, three, four and five bedroom houses to cater for buyers at different stages of the property ladder, including first-time buyers, downsizers and growing families. The Quarters @ Redhill is close to a number of well-regarded primary and secondary schools and just two miles from the M54 which leads into Birmingham, making it an attractive location for families and commuters.
“Vistry Mercia is creating a sustainable development which will provide a calming environment for both the residents and the local wildlife. We aim to not only provide much-needed new housing to Telford but also to build a better home for nature. As befits the rural setting, we will retain trees, hedgerows and ponds and provide a large amount of open space to blend in with the surrounding countryside.
“Looking ahead to this summer, we will be opening the doors to a showhome on the development. This will enable prospective purchasers to visit the site and meet our sales team face-to-face to ask any questions they may have about the properties and the location.”
Vistry Group is also making significant financial contributions towards local infrastructure and facilities as part of the planning agreement for the development. This includes more than £990,000 towards primary education and more than £530,000 towards secondary education, £625,000 for public transport, £560,000 towards road improvements and £270,000 towards leisure facilities.
