Developer Linden Homes Announces £11 Million In Regional Land Deals
12 Jan 2012

REGIONAL developer Linden Homes has announced land acquisitions totalling £11 million – marking a positive start to 2012 and a continued commitment to building homes for the future.

Locations in Yorkshire, Leeds and Nottinghamshire - many of which are subject to planning permission - have been earmarked for the collective 274 new homes.

The sites have been carefully chosen to reflect current housing, local amenities and their proximity to road and rail networks.

Some are extensions of existing popular developments, but all – say Hull-based Linden Homes – is a demonstration of the company meeting demand for quality housing at affordable prices.

Proposed developments at a glance:

  • Knaresborough – work has already started on 14 executive three, four and five-bedroom homes at Jacob Smith Gardens.
  • Methley near Leeds – site secured subject to planning permission for 12 executive three, four and five-bedroom homes.
  • South Milford, phase 2 – subject to planning, 115 two to five-bedroom homes to expand the existing development.
  • Riccall – planning permission being sought for small development of 13 two to five-bedroom homes.
  • Retford, Nottinghamshire – planning permission being sought for 28 two and four-bedroom homes.
  • York, Ouseacres – site secured with outline planning permission. Application submitted for 57 two to four-bedroom homes.
  • York, Huntington Road – 32 two and three-bedroom homes (subject to planning permission) with convenience store and vets.
  • North Ferriby – land now owned and work already started on three executive family homes.

Linden Homes sales director Steve Woomble said: “This is a huge positive for us as a company, but also for the house buying public – particularly in the areas where land has been acquired, which builds on our existing reputation.

“It is a further demonstration of Linden Homes’ confidence in the market as we go into a new year, and our continued commitment to provide good quality homes for 21st century living and lifestyles in great locations.”

The latest round of announcements follow hot on the heels of the latter acquisitions of 2011 at Lindenwood at Kingswood Parks and South Milford, which totalled £3.3 million. Both these developments are now attracting huge interest.
