Developer Helps With Community Group’s Upkeep Of Local Nature Spot
18 Dec 2017

Having just launched its brand new housing development in Driffield, Linden Homes has offered its support to a community group looking after the local environment.

Linden Homes East Yorkshire, which has recently unveiled its Heartlands development, has teamed up with the ‘Friends of the Beck (Driffield)’, which is working to manage the stretch of waterway which runs close to the site.

The group has been set up by resident Darren Baker, and a donation from Linden Homes will enable the volunteers to purchase tools / equipment to carry out their work.

Darren said: “We want to manage the beck, which flows through the centre of Driffield, whilst encouraging both wildlife and regeneration. We aim to improve the watercourse for nature and visitors, including the new residents of Heartlands. Our huge thanks to Linden Homes for their contribution, which will be greatly appreciated and spent wisely.”

Recently, members of the team cleared the North End Park and beck area of 16 sacks of rubbish.

LHEY sales manager Julie Hubbard said: “We are delighted to offer some support to this wonderful group, dedicated to making the local area wildlife environmentally and visitor friendly.

“The work will not only benefit those currently living locally, but also the future residents of Heartlands.”

The development offers a selections of two, three and four-bedroom homes.
