A young rescued French Bulldog named Dave has been crowned the winner of Linden Homes’ Waterford Place ‘Star of the Show Home Competition’.
The competition called on dog owners across South East London to submit a photo and a short bio of their beloved pet to be in with the chance of being the furry face of promotional materials, such as adverts and leaflets, for Linden Homes’ Waterford Place development. As the winner Dave was invited to star in a photo shoot in the show home to illustrate how pets are an integral part of what makes a house a home.
Dave is 5 and a half years old and has been enjoying life with his family since 2016. Dave was rescued just over two years ago, unfortunately he was quite an unwell pooch, but his loving family saved him just in time. He now shares a home with his owners, a rescue sister, who is also a French Bulldog, Miss Patsy and a cat brother Mr Ralph.
Jessica, Dave’s owner said: “We were absolutely delighted to hear that Dave had been chosen as the winner of the competition! After he didn’t have the best start in life, he’s really come a long way since living with us and for him to now have his own photo shoot is wonderful, he loves posing for the camera!”
Dave was treated to a photoshoot at Waterford Place, where he posed for the camera in style. Ginny James, Sales and Marketing Director at Linden Homes South East, commented:
“Dave is such a sweet well-behaved dog – he was an absolute pleasure to work with.”
“We’d like to thank everyone from the local area who took the time to enter the competition. Dog lovers are passionate about their canine companions as they really do make a house a home, and that really came across. With so many beautiful pooches entered we certainly had our work cut out choosing a winner!”
In the same animal loving spirit, Linden Homes has also donated £250 to the local RSPCA, to help towards caring for other animals currently awaiting a new forever home.
Despite its London postcode, Waterford Place is surrounded by green space, not only is it set with in 13 acres of land it also benefits from large nearby areas of parkland and woodland, all perfect for dog walking!
