There are now only three new homes still available to buy at the Springfields development in Deeping St James as construction work nears completion.
Linden Homes started building at the site off Linchfield Road in 2020 and have now welcomed over 100 residents, with only a few homes left to sell, construction work is expected to be complete by late autumn this year.
Laura Thomas, sales manager for Springfields, said: “This has proved to be an incredibly popular development even before we released the first homes onto the market in August 2020. More than 600 people registered their interest ahead of the launch and the demand from buyers has remained strong ever since.
“Springfields has attracted a wide range of buyers which has led to the creation of a diverse neighbourhood. With the vast majority of homes now occupied, a real sense of community has begun to develop.
“The rural location has certainly been a big part of the development’s appeal. Many buyers have told us how much they enjoy having views of the countryside from their doorstep while also being a short 20-minute drive from Peterborough. With beauty spots such as Deeping Lake Nature Reserve close by, residents here really do get the best of both worlds.
“The mix and quality of the homes has also been a factor in the development’s success, along with Linden Homes’ status as a five-star housebuilder. The site team at Springfields have won a Premier Guarantee Excellence Award in recognition of the high standard of workmanship at the development and last year the leading warranty provider named Springfields as one of its top 10 projects in the country.”
As part of the planning agreement for Springfields, Linden Homes, which is part of the Vistry Group, is providing funding of more than £1 million towards local services and infrastructure. Contributions include £953,702 for education, £4,628 towards traffic management, £72,000 towards healthcare improvements at the Deepings Surgery Practice and £1,655 for a new fire hydrant.
The Springfields development comprises 145 properties for private sale as well as 51 affordable homes for rent or shared ownership.
The final three homes available to buy are: two of the three-bedroom Mountford house type, priced at £313,500 and one of the four-bedroom Mylne, that is available for £363,750.
