Chance Encounter In Coffee Shop Leads To Buy Off Plan Joy For Navenby Family
21 May 2019

While not everyone has the courage or confidence to buy a property from plan – a chance encounter in a coffee shop resulted in a Navenby family securing their new dream home.

A decision to move from Derbyshire back to Lincolnshire sparked Gary and Leisa Purdue’s search for a home in the area, and it was overhearing a discussion in a local coffee shop that led the couple to developer Linden Homes Midlands.

Systems analyst Gary explained: “We became aware that Linden Homes were going to be building in Navenby, so decided to rent a four-bed home whilst waiting to buy new home.

“We had previously lived in North Scarle, Lincolnshire and were looking to move back to the area from Matlock. We overheard a discussion whilst in a coffee shop in the village regarding a planning application for new homes, and this prompted us to research Linden Homes via the website and find out more about the Hunters Lodge development.”

The couple, who moved to their new three-bedroom detached home with their teenage daughter, snapped up their property from the drawing board, after attending an open day at the Hunters Lodge marketing suite and learning about the many advantages of buying off plan.

Leisa added: “We reserved The Stapleford design as it met our family's needs at a price we were happy with. We later visited a Linden Homes development in Market Harborough and were satisfied with the build quality on offer.

“Buying off plan meant that we were able to secure the property we had chosen. We liked the fact that all the rooms are a generous size, the rooms have lots of natural light and high ceilings (Gary is 6’3”) which gives the feeling of more space. We were pleasantly surprised by the size of the upstairs bedrooms and the vaulted ceilings, the rooms appeared to be bigger than the original plan.”

The couple, who have praised the support of the sales and onsite production teams for guiding them through the sales and settling in process, are settling in to their new surroundings.

Gary said: “Overall we are extremely pleased with our new home, it allows us to be a part of our community, but also offers us a sense of peace and tranquillity.”

Hunters Lodge – where there is a final chance to buy - is perfectly positioned just 11 miles from the Cathedral city of Lincoln, with its village location and host of on-the-doorstep amenities offering the best of both worlds.

The sales and marketing suite is open from Thursday to Monday from 10.30am until 5pm. Alternatively, contact the sales team on 01522 848411.
