Burnham House Launches Among Froyle Park's 'Jewels In The Crown'
22 Jul 2015

The jewels in the crown have been unveiled at award-winning Linden Homes’ Froyle Park development in the Hampshire village of Upper Froyle.

Now available to buy are a limited collection of luxury homes in the beautifully refurbished Burnham House, as well as a choice of exclusive new houses ranging in size from three to six bedrooms.

The launch onto the market of the more than 100-year-old Burnham House, in particular, has been long-anticipated due to the local heritage of the building which has been a landmark in the village since 1908.

Burnham House was first known as Dugan House when it opened as the home of the Treloar College for Disabled Young People – established by the then Lord Mayor of London, Sir William Purdie Treloar.

The college has since relocated to Holybourne, and now the building is being sensitively refashioned into a distinguished collection of 17 two, three and four-bedroom townhouses, each with their own front door and centred round a quiet, landscaped quadrangle.

Burnham House is a centrepiece of Froyle Park: a select, village-style development with a local store and green open spaces. It lies within the Froyle Conservation Area, so the homes’ design carefully echoes Hampshire’s traditional red brick and clay tiles.

Andrew Reynolds, Linden Homes Guildford sales and marketing director, said: “Nearly all the properties at Froyle Park have been individually designed so they are all very special each with a character of their own.

“The converted houses at Burnham House have an extra level of history and distinction to them, and will be very popular. That’s going to be another pull for buyers and means they could go very quickly. The message is: don’t delay!”

In late summer the three-bedroom Marchiston show house will open at Burnham House showing off the open-plan style of the properties, of which all but one are generously spread across two storeys. The three-bedroom Albermarle will become the new sales office to give visitors a further sense of the light and airy accommodation on offer.

Away from Burnham House, The Reeve, a three-bedroom terraced property, will launch as another show home at the same time, opening the doors to its en suite master bedroom, open plan living room / diner, and French windows into the garden.

For those who want to avoid missing out, the new phase of homes is available to buy off plan, giving customers the chance to secure their home early, and influence the specification, decoration and even layout of their new home. Linden Homes’ Enhance service offers style advice for VAT-free design and upgrades.

Every home at Froyle park has a 10-year NHBC warranty and Linden Homes’ two-year customer care warranty.

To the north of Froyle Park lie Basingstoke and Reading; to the south is the glorious South Downs National Park. Access is quick to the A31 and Alton train station nearby has direct services to London Waterloo in just under an hour and 10 minutes.
