Two senior appointments have been made at the Eastern region of top-five housebuilder Linden Homes as the company bolsters its operations across Essex.
Mark Aylward joins the award-winning business as Finance Director and Mark Ciano arrives as Construction Director. Both will be based at the Chelmsford office and report into Linden Homes Eastern managing director Trevor Dempsey.
A Chartered Certified Accountant, Mark Aylward (51) comes to Linden Homes from his previous position as Divisional Finance Manager at Bellway Homes and previously as Regional Finance Director at Berkeley, David Wilson and Taylor Wimpey.
His 33-year career also includes valuable experience of the sustainable energy industry where he was Finance Director for a solar and wind company. Mark lives in Leigh-on-Sea, Essex, and is married with a son and daughter.
Mark Ciano (50) has over 34 years’ experience in the industry with positions previously held with Bovis, as an Area Build Director, Barratt London as a Senior Project Manager and most recently with Berkeley’s Eastern and London Quadrant as Project Director.
He said: “Linden Homes has a great future with some excellent land opportunities that will generate a good robust mixed product. The Eastern business unit is a very diverse addition to the company that produces a core range of low rise housing with some great anchor sites whilst still maintaining activity with the London market. I’m looking forward to being a part of the growth of the business unit as it continues to go from strength to strength, gaining good recognition whilst maintaining a strong reputation within the industry.”
Tom Nicholson, Divisional Managing Director for Eastern, said: “As we continue our venture into the capital, these two new appointments with their wealth of experience will be instrumental in boosting and supporting our offering especially with projects such as our St Clements development in Bow which is the first to use the Community Land Trust model in London.”
