All homes sold at Shortstown development

All the homes have now been sold at a new location in Shortstown near Bedford, where building work is nearing completion.

Falcons Lodge has provided 108 new homes in the village, built at the Linden Homes development.

Falcons Lodge includes a selection of one and two-bedroom apartments and two, three, four and five-bedroom houses.

Hannah Dorner, senior sales manager at Linden Homes East Midlands, said: “Falcons Lodge has been a very popular development since work started on the site in spring 2020 and we are glad to report that construction work is coming to an end.

“When we launched the site in an interactive digital event in July 2020, it was very well received with a lot of would-be buyers logging on to see the floor plans and to remotely view the first homes to be released for sale. Even before these first homes were put on the market we were inundated with enquiries about the development.

“A thriving new community has been formed at Falcons Lodge and it has been good to help so many people secure their dream home at this lovely location which features three public open spaces, including one central area which acts as a focal point for the development.

“The different types of properties on site allowed us to meet the requirements of a wide range of buyers in the area. We have sold these new homes to purchasers at different stages of the property ladder which has helped create a new neighbourhood made up of people of all ages. We look forward to welcoming the final residents into their homes and bringing this popular development to a close.

“Falcons Lodge is part of the wider development of the former RAF Cardington site and we are proud to be involved in a project which is bringing hundreds of much-needed new homes to the village.

“As part of the planning agreement, Linden Homes East Midlands is making a contribution of £350,000 to help improve local services and infrastructure, with £200,200 going towards education, £80,765 for public transport and £58,179 for sports facilities. This contribution sits perfectly with our company ethos of not only building new homes but also helping to create new neighbourhoods which have a positive and lasting effect on the local community.”

Vistry Group, which includes Linden Homes, Bovis Homes and Vistry Partnerships, is building a selection of one and two-bedroom apartments and two, three, four and five-bedroom houses at Falcons Lodge.

Vistry East Midlands is also building new homes under the Linden Homes brand at St Marys at Kings Field in Biddenham, near Bedford, where a small selection of properties are still available.
