While Linden Homes has a long-association with Leicestershire and its name is well recognised locally – sporting youngsters are taking the brand into new territory!
The award-winning regional house builder has teamed up with Leicester Grammar School, which has just taken a number of young players on a joint rugby and cricket tour to Sri Lanka.
The new Linden Homes sponsored kit was officially handed over to the school’s Senior Rugby and Cricket sides just a few days before they embarked on the 15-day tour.
During the tour, the teams will be playing fixtures against local schools and experiencing various aspects of Sri Lankan culture and their way of life, including visits to temples and world heritage site.
Teacher Tom Lemon said: “Sports tours are all about new experiences, meeting new people, learning about ancient cultures and religions and I am so excited for the boys that they will get the chance to experience this.
“One of our fixtures will be hosted during the countries biggest school 7s festival and this will be a fantastic opportunity for the boys to experience what will no doubt be a fantastic atmosphere and potentially a large group of spectators. We are very grateful to have the support of Linden Homes Midlands and the rugby kit they have provided for the tour looks fantastic!
