Site Manager Paul Takes Pride In The Job For Linden Homes At Oakham (2013)
08 Jul 2013

LINDEN Homes site manager Paul Mott has seen off fierce competition to clinch an industry quality award for the second year running.

Paul has been presented with an NHBC Pride in the Job quality award for his continuing strive towards perfection at the company’s Orchid development in Oakham.

A firm believer in going the extra mile, Paul was among some 16,000 site managers from around the UK to enter the annual NHBC Pride in the Job award, and one of just 450 in the country to reach the Quality Award stage.

Judges used a range of categories on which to base their results, including site presentation, quality of build and finish, knowledge of building and organisational skills.

Paul said: “I’m delighted to have reached this stage in the competition for a second year running, and as a site manager I feel it is important to go that extra mile to ensure the quality and overall appearance of a development, and Orchid is a site I am extremely proud of.”

Paul has now been invited to regional dinner in Leicester in the autumn when he hopes to be one of a handful of regional site managers selected to receive a Seal of Excellence Award.

Of that number, the cream of the crop will then be presented with a regional award before progressing to the glittering finals in London in January 2014.

Linden Homes’ production director Brendan Blythe: “Competition for the NHBC awards is fierce. I am delighted for Paul and his team that they have been recognised by the NHBC once again for the high quality of their work. Good luck to the Orchid team in the next stage of the awards.”

This year, more Linden Homes development than ever before have been represent in the industry awards; with site managers Kevin Bishop at Yes in Cambridgeshire, Jon Blanchard from Lincoln’s Oasis development and Glenn Smyth from Romans View in Northamptonshire just missing out on the regional stages.
