WHILE the August Bank Holiday weekend weather lived up to its reputation – it wasn’t enough to dampen the spirits of Methley Festival goers!
One of the most important social events of the year saw a great turn out of volunteers and visitors who braved the wet weather to ensure the show went on as planned.
Among those attending, and for the first time, was a team from Linden Homes – which is currently building a range of high quality new homes in the village.
Marketing and connections manager Gizzy Murray said: “The weather was really unkind, typical of a Bank Holiday. However, we had a great time chatting with visitors and local people - and it presented us with a wonderful opportunity to get involved with the community.
“Visitors seemed genuinely interested in our development, The Pavilions, and it was a pleasure to be part of the event.”
A wonderful selection of 12 brand new homes in an attractive location, with views of the village bowling green and local church, will see a sympathetic transformation of the former infant school site.
