Leading housebuilder Linden Homes has appointed Chris Harris as its new managing director for the Western region.
Chris, who has worked for the company for six years, has been promoted from Linden Homes Midlands where he was the commercial and technical director. In his new role Chris will oversee every aspect of the business, from buying land to production and sales, ensuring the timely delivery of quality homes in the region, which covers Gloucestershire, Bristol, Worcestershire, Somerset, and Wiltshire.
With over 24 years’ property experience, Chris started his career as a YTS apprentice and trained as a quantity surveyor. He has extensive knowledge of the housebuilding industry having also worked for other national and regional companies: David Wilson Homes, Bellway and Gleeson Homes.
Chris, 40, will be based at Linden Homes’ head office in Bristol and is relocating to the area from Quorn in Leicestershire with his wife and four children.
Speaking about his role, Chris said: “I am pleased to join the Western region as its managing director and look forward to continue building on its success. Training and development is very important to me as I was a YTS apprentice in my first job, earning £30 a week. Linden Homes is dedicated to developing and promoting talent and I’m passionate about young people having the opportunities that I had.”
He continued: “I am thrilled with my new role and look forward to the challenges and opportunities it will bring. As a company we are in a great position as we have a strong team, a healthy land bank and some fantastic projects in the pipeline. It’s going to be an exciting year.”
Linden Homes’ Western region is currently creating a number of new homes in Bristol, Gloucester, Kingsway, Kempsey, Bishop’s Cleeve, Radstock and Bath.
